Shoreditch comes alive with shops, galleries, bars around Christmas on Late Opening Thursdays...



27 local galleries, shops, studios, salons, and bars are celebrating the Christmas season by opening their doors late on Thursdays. Local shops involved in the Triangle include Aesop, Ally Capellino, Bloc Salon, Chiki Chic, Comfort Station, Gallery Fumi, Goodhood Store, Jasper Morrison Shop, Labour & Wait, Lee Broom, Lifestylebazaar, Lik + Neon, Luna & Curious, Maiden, Mar Mar Co, Material - Gallery / Books / Things, Milk Concept Boutique, No-one, Old Shoreditch Station, Rocket Gallery + Shop, SCP, Shelf, Space Fiftyfour, Start, The Geffrye Museum and YCN.

Entanglements puts identity very much in the centre of the frame for the theme of the current exhibition, whether it is a false, misunderstood, exaggerated or contextualised the artists involved use perception of their own background to model how we perceive their art. Their work does not exist without us knowing or assuming their identity but what about work that is centered on a lack of identity? This can come in many forms and this lack, although not the centrepiece of the work, can be the reason behind its fame or allure.
